Job Description
The DFR is the State of Indiana’s Division of Family Resources. This division is responsible for determining the eligibility of individuals for public assistance programs such as TANF, SNAP, and Medicaid. The Eligibility Specialist are responsible for helping individuals through the application process for public assistance.

- A Day in the Life of a DFR Office: The Eligibility Specialist (ES) position is a client-facing role that involves a large amount of face to face customer service, as well as clerical responsibilities. As an ES, you are the primary point of contact for clients that are applying for public assistance through the Division of Family Resources office. By helping them through the application process and steering the clients in the right direction, you can truly make a difference in the lives of others. This position is an initial step in a career ladder with excellent growth potential within the DFR.

- DFR offers extensive training in the ES role
- During training it is important that you do not miss anytime unless it is an emergency
- No more than 3 absences (24 hours) are allowed during ES training
